The length of an official size of a tennis court is 78 feet (23.77 meters). When the singles are playing, the width of the field is 27 feet (8.23 meters), but the width of the field in the case of the doubles is 36 feet (10.97 meters). The International Tennis Federation establishes these dimensions and they are applicable to both professional and amateur competitions in the world. The readings are similar on all standard courts surfaces.
